I have worked with a number of real estate agents in the past and I have to say that Tony Wood was above and by far the most knowledgeable, most professional, best communicator and also someone who paid the most attention to detail out of any realtor I have ever met. However, Tony was not only up to the challenge he provided significant value to every part of the transaction with his knowledge of contracts, the marketplace and his never-ending resources. To add to the complexity of the transaction it occurred in the middle of the Covid-19 world-wide pandemic. I was beyond impressed with how Tony surgically and professionally handled this entire transaction and I have no question in my mind that I have found my go-to agent for all of my future real estate transactions. This was my first commercial property endeavor after 20 years as a single family home builder. It was a joy learning from Tony and meeting the challenges.
We enjoyed working together on what was probably one of his more complex transactions, as it involved many stakeholders including Owners (seller had loans totaling more than the property was worth), bank (stuck with a loan that was “underwater”), City (had initiated a redevelopment loan with previous owner), County (required county approval) and State (became the actual owner of the redevelopment loan when RDA’s were deemed illegal by the previous governor). I’m sure there’s more I’m forgetting.
We continue to work together as committed stakeholders working for the betterment of all Downtown Lincoln stakeholders and visitors. It’s an exciting and growing community with a small town feel and a nod to the old world.
